Casa Vida receives the Human Rights Award

On the date that marks the International Day of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Associação Casa Vida receives the “Sérgio Vieira de Mello Human Rights Award” from the Presidency of the Republic of Timor-Leste.
The award is the State’s recognition of all those who have contributed to the promotion, protection, and dissemination of human rights on Timorese soil.
Casa Vida receives this award with great joy and humbleness. This is the result of the hard work of all its collaborators, which include employees, volunteers, and donors.
This award is also confirmation that fighting for children, adolescents and women who are victims of sexual abuse in Timor-Leste, promoting their human dignity, is an important task and an ongoing need.
It is in this spirit that we invite you to learn more about our projects and to help us so that many other Timorese children, adolescents and women may have access to protection, care and information.
